J.P. Garcia has been passionate about visual storytelling from a young age. After finishing university, he worked as an Art Director at leading Brazilian ad agencies before finding himself behind the camera.

J.P.’s work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including British Arrows nominations and a Silver for the EA Sports FIFA 23 commercial. He has also been honoured at Cannes, D&AD, The One Show, and El Ojo.

His short films "Chapéu de Bico" and "Thursday Night" were nominated for Best Cinematography by the ABC, with "Thursday Night" also earning a nomination at the Sundance Film Festival under the direction of Gonçalo Almeida.
